HR Group grows with strong executives: New director of sales and competent general manager

Berlin. The HR Group appoints a Director of Sales for the Head Office in Berlin and two new General Managers for their hotels. The experienced executives use their expertise to strengthen the team of the successful hotel operating company.

Reinforcement in the Head Office: Andy Owdin becomes Director of Sales at the HR Group

The HR Group strengthens its commercial team, which consists of the Sales, Revenue and Marketing departments. With the experienced strategist Andy Owdin, the new position of Director of Sales will be filled. He now heads the growing department of the hotel operator company. The goal is to expand the group's above-average performance by optimizing its sales activities. Andy Owdin began his career in 2006 as Coordinator Manager at the platform and later moved to MICE AG as Sales Manager for Media and Trade Fairs. He has been working in the hotel industry since 2010 - initially as Senior Sales Manager Corporate at the GCH Hotel Group in Berlin. This was followed by internal changes to the positions of Key Account Manager and Area Director Sales and Marketing North, followed by a switch to MOXY Berlin Humboldthain Park and AC Berlin Humboldthain Park by Marriott as Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue. In his last station, Owdin worked for the second largest hotel in Germany, the Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz, as Director of Sales & Marketing.

In addition to the position in the head office, the HR Group is relying on new reinforcement in two of its hotels - the Mercure Hotel Eschborn Helfmann Park and the Arcadia Hotel Heidelberg. Long-time employee with new responsibilities: HR Group appoints Daniel Butzer as General Manager of the Mercure Hotel Eschborn Helfmann Park

Daniel Butzer has been the new General Manager for the Mercure Hotel Eschborn Helfmann Park since August 1, 2019. For the native of Hesse, this means an ascent within the HR Group: Most recently, he held the position of Executive Assistant Manager at the Dorint Hotel in the Main Taunus Center Frankfurt / Sulzbach, where he had successfully completed his hotel training in 2003. After further positions at the Front Desk, in Convention Sales and in the F & B Management at Dorint Hotels in Sulzbach and Wiesbaden as well as Holiday Inn Frankfurt City South, he returned to the Frankfurt House of the HR Group. 

HR Group with new General Manager for the Arcadia Hotel Heidelberg 

Since July, Steffen Rapp has been General Manager of the Arcadia Hotel Heidelberg. The experienced hotelier can look back on more than 20 years of professional experience, starting with a training as a chef. Following a subsequent training as a state-certified hotel business administrator, he worked as a banquet manager, operations assistant and F & B manager. Before assuming the position of General Manager for the Arcadia Hotel Heidelberg, Steffen Rapp was Commercial Manager at the Heidelberg Castle Restaurants & Events.
