HR Group is continuously growing
These include the Arcadia Hotel in Flensburg, Schweinfurt (formerly Mercure), Dortmund and Erfurt (both formerly Pullman), the Dorint Hotel Amsterdam Airport and Augsburg as well as the Novotel Hildesheim. The Dorint Hotel München Airport and the Mercure Hotel Köln City Friesenstraße have already been acquired in the first quarter of this year.
As part of the recently purchased portfolio, strategies for the repositioning under renown hotel brands are being developed. In addition, a double-digit million amount will be invested in the renovation of the hotels. The transaction was accompanied by JLL, Treugast, Dekra, Hogan Lovells, Kennedy van der Laan and Heymerader Rechtsanwälte and was financed by CAERUS Debt Investments AG.
As a result, the portfolio of the HR Group grew to 22 hotels in Germany and the Netherlands with a total of 3,400 rooms. The annual total revenue has increased to € 100 m. HR Group manages the majority of it’s operations in cooperation with franchise partners like AccorHotels, InterCityHotels and Dorint Hotels & Resorts. “Especially on the capital intensive market, there are great advantages when the hotel business is geared by the needs of the owner”, explained Ruslan Husry (executive partner of HR Group) his growth strategy through franchise partner.
“Operational processes are additionally tightened and the value of the property is always moved to the centre stage. Extensive market knowledge, distinctive real estate knowledge and professional management structures create the foundation of success of the HR Group.”
In the fourth quarter of 2016, the HR Group plans to take over more hotels and intends to extend their portfolio in the future, in which the focus will be on project developments based on the signing of lease agreements. In July 2016, HR Group signed a long-term basis a lease agreement for the new development of an Ibis Styles Hotel with 193 rooms in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. Contractual partner and project developer is Bülow AG.
